The Crescent Cookie, as it is fondly known, might bring to mind a familiar taste that was once found in Grandma's kitchen. This is precisely where my love affair with crescent cookies began, at a very young age, in my Grandma Virginia Mastry's kitchen. This vintage cookie has been baked and loved for generations in the Mastry family.
This cookie is comfortable being in a lunchbox, in the boardroom or on center stage at the most sophisticated wedding or event. While this elegant, unique cookie, hand-rolled in powdered sugar though not too sweet, you will agree that its decadent flavor will please the most discriminating taste. And, you can be sure, these extraordinary cookies are always made with ingredients that are exceptional.
What's In A Name?
You might be curious about our cookie's namesake, Crescent Cookie Co. Many years ago, as a home baker, each cookie was hand-shaped into a crescent moon shape. I began my company in exactly the same fashion: hand-shaping. We continued this laborious process for several years until Whole Foods Market came knocking for regional distribution of the cookies. At this point, we had to quickly pivot and transition to a much easier process for bulk distribution. Rest assured, every cookie is still handmade and never changing in superior quality ingredients, only shape.
